Laboratory Training Courses

Maine INBRE offers short laboratory training courses for undergraduate students. Courses are often held during winter or spring break as an enrichment to the curricula of students’ institutions.

These courses offer a full-immersion laboratory experience at the MDI Biological Laboratory, and teach laboratory skills in the context of a focused research project in comparative functional genomics.

Courses introduce students to molecular biology and genetics research techniques with a research focus such as toxicology, development, neurology, or membrane transport.

Some courses are offered for academic credit. Students should check with their institution’s Steering Committee member for more information.
