Colby College recently wrote about the benefits of the INBRE program at the institution, highlighting a recent summer short course for a group of incoming first-year students in the Colby Achievement Program in the Sciences (CAPS), as well as an INBRE summer research fellow who studying a gene that may have an effect on the way the kidney filters proteins from the blood.

Colby science students have worked at the MDI Biological Laboratory for more than a decade with the support of the INBRE program, which provides Colby with faculty research, summer research fellowships for students, short courses and winter break research, conference expenses, and scientific equipment.
